Appliances are designed to work within the voltage range of 1.5V to 0.9V, so Powerowl batteries (1.2V) are suitable for use in most battery-based devices. However, we always recommend using a Powerowl charger for optimal performance. While most other manufacturers’ chargers will also be able to charge our batteries, they may not be able to reach top performance.

In order to prevent issues with charging, we recommend recharging the battery immediately when it is completely depleted or when the voltage drops below 1.0V. Additionally, using a battery charger with a repair function can help to maintain the health of the battery.

One common reason for NiMH battery not being able to charge is over-discharging. Overcharging is also a primary cause of battery leakage. To prevent this, it is crucial to choose a charger that will automatically cut off power once the battery is fully charged.
